Juggling

The world requires finesse.

You want to be true to yourself, but if you don't phrase things a certain way and people take insult or form a judgement of you, they will not give you a chance to explain yourself.

The listener has their point of view before you even start to present yours.

The trick is to make them understand you before they get sidetracked by some irrelevant detail, somewhere within the information you are giving.

  1. In girl terms, you don't show the crazy all at once. You let the crazy out in little, digestible bursts. I imagine it would be the same way with your frankness: short, digestible bursts.

  2. This happens to me. A lot more lately it seems. But I'm almost to the point of not caring about who gets offended. It's so ridiculous, why can't we all just be ourselves right away?

  3. I wonder if I'll ever go back to the "drop my (emotional) clothes when we meet" approach I took for my first few months of re-singlehood so many years ago.
